Paula Doty received her A.B. in 1987 from Smith College, majoring in American Studies, and her M.I.L.S. in 1994 from the University of Michigan School of Information and Library Studies. At Michigan, she concentrated in law librarianship and worked at the University of Michigan's Law Library. Paula was formerly Director of Library Services at Lionel Sawyer & Collins from 1995-2003, as well as adjunct Reference Librarian at the Community College of Southern Nevada from 2002-2005 and temporary Reference Librarian at the Wiener-Rogers Law Library from 2004-2005.

Paula is responsible for all library acquisitions and generates regular reports for law library faculty liaisons regarding faculty requests. She provides budget analysis and projections, ascertains percentage increases of serials, and provides year-end financial reports. She resolves accounting issues at the vendor level. Other duties include original and complex copy cataloging and database maintenance.
